The Figure Simplified with Amy Daspce
It can take years to learn to draw the figure, but this inventive course speeds up the process by getting to the heart of what you really need to know to feel confident sketching people whether working from life, a photograph, or your imagination. This course combines techniques found in gesture drawing and fashion illustration to teach you how to render believable, expressive figures in graphite and ink.

Avian Art & Abodes: August is all about birds! BAC is proud to exhibit a selection of birdhouses designed by artists and made by the skilled woodworkers at Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN). BARN offered a free class that paired artists with woodworkers—an excellent example of community collaboration.
Other artists will join the party with terrific painting, photography, sculpture and pottery from Jan Hurd, Yuko Ishii, Nancy Reithaar, Mike Zitka, Marilyn Place, Jo Reid ceramics, and Sheri Worth.
