Earth Month: Community Recycled Art Project

Sunday, April 11, 11am – 3pm

Windermere Plaza, 249 Winslow Way E.

On Sunday, April 12, from 11am-3pm, BAC presents a free, all ages community art engagement event at the Windermere Patio on Winslow Way. Led by Port Townsend artist Margie McDonald, Islanders can lend a hand in the creation of a wearable art project with materials provided at the event or delivered to BAC in advance. Community members are encouraged to drop off their clean, hard plastic lids, yogurt container lids, bottle and jar caps, six-pack can yokes, and mesh plastic produce bag netting at the gallery, 151 Winslow Way E.

Margie McDonald is the artistic director for the Port Townsend Wearable Art Show. Margie’s work in wearable art and sculpture has been exhibited in the New Zealand World of Wearable Art Exhibition, Bainbridge Island Art Museum, Museum of Northwest Art, Northwind Arts Center and Simon Mace Gallery.

This recycled community art event is part of Earth Month Bainbridge Island, a program of Sustainable Bainbridge and Zero Waste Bainbridge.

Registration not required – just stop by the site!
