Join us for an artist talk with glass artist Dan Friday, hosted by Bainbridge Arts & Crafts. Hear directly from Dan about his studio practice, materials, and the stories that shape his work.
Dan is a member of the Lummi Nation and a Skagit Valley–based artist who has spent the last 30 years working primarily in glass. His work draws on his Coast Salish heritage, expressed through bold forms and imagery.
His work has received a number of honors, including the BIMA Award from the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, the People’s Choice Award from the Bellevue Arts Museum, and fellowships from the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts. Dan Friday founded the Native Youth Outreach Program at Pilchuck Glass School in 2017.
