“I am in love with clay. It has been a major part of my life for over 35 years. I am a traditional potter and each piece is individually made. All of my pottery is stoneware clay and is lead free and food safe. It is fired to 2300 degrees Fahrenheit in a gas kiln. This combination of stoneware and gas firing produces subtle, varied colors not found in electric firing.

I am fascinated by the simple but elegant style of Asian art and characters, and I incorporate this in my work. I try to create a feeling of ‘tranquility’ in my pottery.”
