This workshop is presented alongside the Asian Art Tradition show, running throughout May as part of the 2nd annual Asian Arts & Heritage Festival, in partnership with Arts & Humanities Bainbridge and in cooperation with the Agency. The Asian Art Tradition show includes the art of YOUNG OK KIM, who preserves and reinterprets her Korean heritage through hanjicraft, a traditional art form using mulberry tree pulp and natural dyes to create intricate works of art that range from wall art and delicate tabletop items to striking furniture. BAC is exhibiting four wall pieces and several boxes. Young’s work is also featured in Bainbridge Island Museum of Art’s spring exhibitions.
